Amy & Max
Our Story

It started with burgers at Corner Bistro in New York’s West Village on a March evening in 2017. Well, sort of.

Amy and Max had actually known each other for years at NYU. Amy played soccer, Max ran cross country and track, and between athletics and classes, they had been friends for a while. Eventually, Max decided to make the first move.

Their first date started with a walk from the East Village, followed by burgers at Corner Bistro and dessert at Magnolia Bakery. The conversation came easily, and what was supposed to be a casual date turned into hours together.

After college, Max moved to Atlanta and Amy to Philadelphia. After a few years of long distance, Amy made the move to Atlanta. Since then, life has been filled with traveling, trying new restaurants and recipes, and countless runs along the Atlanta Beltline.

In April 2026, Max proposed. His original plan involved a big New York City trip, but when the moment felt right, he grabbed a pizza, opened a bottle of wine, and proposed in Amy's Atlanta apartment instead.
